Meeting at UGA will Focus on Athens-area Water Issues

The Upper Oconee Watershed Network and its partners invite you to attend the first Upper Oconee Science and Policy Summit.
The summit will bring together scientists, policymakers, activists, students, and community members from across the region to explore the intersection between water quality science and policy in the Upper Oconee Watershed. Through rapid fire presentations that each provide a scientific and policy component, the summit will:

Educate attendees on the activities occurring in the watershed

Highlight the integral connection between science and policies

Identify research and policy needs as well as opportunities for collaboration and action

Introduce decision makers and managers in the watershed to some of the brightest student researchers at UGA
