The ARA of Georgia, a recognized local chapter of the American Rental Association which serves Rental Operators in the State of Georgia, announces the selection of local business owner of Nickell Rental, Josh Nickell, as its next president. Previously serving as Vice President, Nickell brings to the position an extensive background in management, rental sales, up-to-date knowledge of technology, and a passion for small businesses. Nickell has been a part of the ARA board since 2010 and will move forward serving as President for the next two years.

"I'm excited to take on this new role and see what we can accomplish in the years ahead," says Nickell. "One of my goals as president is to grow our membership by retaining long-standing members and reaching out to new store owners to help them realize the value of membership at both state and national levels."

While serving as Vice President, Nickell's own business Nickell Rental – with branches in Newnan, Griffin, and Hiram, GA – landed itself on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States for two years in a row, having a three-year sales growth of 77%, and ranking #218 of construction companies in the nation.

Along with his volunteer service with the ARA of Georgia, Nickell is the chairman of the communications committee and also is involved at the national level with The Rental Show Task Force and Legislative Caucus. In addition to serving on rental industry committees, Nickell has received numerous honors and has been the recipient of the ARA Regional Person of the Year Award in 2014, and Rental Management Magazine selected him as one of the inaugural 10 to Watch Under 40.

With a degree in business, Nickell is the co-owner of Nickell Rental with his father, who founded the company, Tom Nickell. He graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia and currently resides in Newnan, GA with his wife and two daughters.
