Thursday, August 4th, 2016

The Athens Regional Library System, which includes the Athens-Clarke County Library, recently upgraded its website, http://www.athenslibrary.org/, so that it will now load more quickly and be more compatible with mobile devices.

Library staff are in the midst of switching the website to new software and hardware, and noted in a news release that there may be delays or downtime at the website as the upgrade is completed.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to make sure our website is up to date and user-friendly,” said Athens Regional Library System Director Valerie Bell in the release. “There may be a little inconvenience while the work is being done, but the end result will be a faster, more accessible library website.”

The Athens Regional Library System includes 11 libraries in five northeast Georgia counties: Clarke, Franklin, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe. Its headquarters is the Athens Clarke-County Library on Baxter Street in Athens.
