Long-term Care Planning Session Announced for July 27th at Athens Library

A “Long Term Care Planning” program scheduled for July 27 at the Athens-Clarke County Library will focus on Medicaid Planning, including a discussion on how to preserve assets from the Georgia Medicaid Recovery Program making it possible to pass them on to loved ones after passing.

There will also be discussions on estate tax and gift tax laws along with an overview of the basic estate planning documents that every person from middle aged to senior citizen should have in place.

The session is led by Alfred E. Fargione an Athens attorney focusing on elder law, estate planning and tax planning. He earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston and went on to earn an advanced law degree in Tax and Estate Planning from Boston University. He practiced in the Boston area before moving to Athens with his wife.

The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Appleton Auditorium, is sponsored by Reflecting, Sharing, Learning and is free and open to the public.
