Carolyn Crayton, Board of Community Affairs (reappointment)
Crayton is the founder, president emeritus and CEO emeritus of the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission and the International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon. She sits on the boards of trustees for Central Georgia Technical College and Middle Georgia State University. Crayton also sits on the boards of directors for Keep America Beautiful, Inc., the Macon Rescue Mission and the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base. She has two children and resides in Macon.

Elaine P. Snow, Board of Juvenile Justice (reappointment)
Snow retired from the Rome Police Department after 41 years of service. She sits on the Greater Rome Convention & Business Bureau board and Georgia Crime Information Center advisory board. Snow is a member of the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children & Youth, Seven Hills Rotary, the Rome-Floyd Community of Hope Task Team and the Martin Luther King Memorial Committee. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville State University and a master’s degree from Columbus State University. Snow is a graduate of the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange, the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and the FBI National Academy. She and her husband, Tommy, have two children and five grandchildren. They reside in Rome.

Fred Stephens, Board of Juvenile Justice (reappointment)
Stephens is the interim police chief for the Clarke County School District Police Department. He retired from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after more than 31 years of service and then served as the assistant police chief of support service and field operations for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. Stephens is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbus State University. Stephens and his wife, Laura, have two children and live in Cleveland.

Bart Gobeil, Board of Directors of the Georgia Lottery Corp.
Gobeil is the director of statewide economic development and governmental affairs for the Georgia Ports Authority. He was previously the chief operating officer for Georgia and has been a member of the Ports Authority board since 2011. Gobeil is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Savannah.

Amanda Miliner, Professional Standards Commission
Miliner is an instructional coach for the Houston County School System. She sits on the advisory board for the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and is a member of the leadership task force for Kappa Delta Pi. Miliner was named the 2015 Georgia Teacher of the Year and received the Innovation in Teaching Award in 2014. She was also named a global fellow for the National Education Association. Miliner earned a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University and a master’s degree and education specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. She and her husband, Kellen, have two children and reside in Kathleen.

Christina Van Meter, Professional Standards Commission
Van Meter is a middle school language arts teacher and a member of the middle school leadership committee for the Columbia County School District. She was named the Columbia County Teacher of the Year in 2012. Van Meter earned a bachelor’s degree from Armstrong State University, a master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern University and an education specialist degree from Augusta State University. She and her husband, James, have three children and live in Evans.

Kevin Jackson, Georgia Ports Authority
Jackson is the founder, president and CEO EnviroVac Holdings, LLC. He is the secretary and treasurer of the Savannah Economic Development Authority. Jackson sits on the Southeastern Board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as well as the boards of directors for United Community Bank and the Bethesda Leadership Academy. He received the 2015 Savannah Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year award. Jackson previously sat on the Board of Economic Development and the Board of Directors of the Georgia Lottery Corp. He volunteers with several philanthropic organizations including Kids and Pros Football Camp, the Leukemia Society and The First Tee. Jackson earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, where he was a letterman on the 1980 national championship football team. He and his wife, Libby, have three children and one grandchild. They live in Savannah.

Vann Parrott, State Board of Education
Parrott is a partner at the law firms of Parrott & Mitchell, LLP in Quitman and McCollum, Rawlins, Cauley & Parrott, LLP in Thomasville. He is also a juvenile court judge for Brooks County and a municipal court judge for the City of Quitman. Parrott sits on the boards of directors for Ag-Pro Companies and the Citizens National Bank of Quitman. He is the chairman of the board of trustees for Leadership Georgia and a vice chairman of the Community Foundation of South Georgia. Parrott is a past president of the Quitman-Brooks County Chamber of Commerce and an original member of the Robert Warde Chambers Scholarship committee. He and his wife, Lauri, have three children and reside in Dixie.
