Bytes for Bites Food and Fund Drive Kicks off This Week

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Wednesday, July 13th, 2016

The commencement of the annual Bytes for Bites food and fund drive competition is all set to launch in connection with the Technology Association of Georgia, Hub Magazine’s Food Technology feature, Bytes, and the Georgia Food Bank Association. The competition serves to benefit the local Georgia Food Banks and will be held at food bank locations across the state starting Monday, July 11th, through July 22nd, during which companies can collect items at their offices. Each company directly impacts the fight to close the meal gap by associating with the GFBA which distributes over 130 million pounds of food annually, an opportunity not to be missed.

With over 30 of Georgia’s premier tech companies such as AT&T, SunTrust Bank, and Aaron’s Inc. coming together for a great cause, preparations are in full swing to make B4B a successful venture for everyone involved.  If you are a company that is interested and still want to compete, you have until the 22nd to register.

The company that raises the most food and funds per employee will win the highly prestigious TAG Bytes for Bites Cup, with opportunities for awards in other categories such as top companies in your region and the TAG Chapter award given to the chapter that can raise the most pounds per person.
