Athens Stores Gearing up for Tax-free Weekend

A week from now, the serious back-to-school shopping starts, timed with the sales tax holiday weekend in Georgia. Athens stores are preparing for the traffic expected July 30 and 31 that will make for the biggest weekend before Black Friday shopping for some stores.
