UGA Service Units to Help Clarke County Schools Convert to Charter District

Two University of Georgia service units will likely be called in to help the school district convert to a charter district under state law.
The University of Georgia’s Fanning Institute for Leadership Development and UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government would share in a $237,100 contract to assist the school district develop rules for so-called “local school governance teams” at each of the school district’s 21 schools, and help choose, build and train those teams.
