Landmark Properties Named Nation's Top Student Housing Developer

For the second year in a row, Landmark Properties has been named the country’s top student housing developer by Student Housing Business, a leading industry publication.
Landmark claimed the No. 1 ranking based on the volume of its development activity, which includes 30 new projects and more than 20,000 beds. The company is also in the early planning stages for another 18 additional projects.
Landmark’s 2016 projected starts encompass student housing communities valued at an aggregate of $1.2 billion, totaling more than 10,000 beds. These starts include three developments that are expected to close within the next 60 days in Tampa; College Station, Texas; and Raleigh, N.C. The three communities include approximately 2,000 beds with completion dates in the fall of 2017 and 2018.

The planned developments stay true to Landmark’s successful student housing model of creating communities at large institutions within walking distance to campus. On average, Landmark’s scheduled properties are being built at schools with enrollment greater than 32,000, and are less than 0.3 miles to campus (less than 0.1 miles for “The Standard” developments).
