Myron Brilliant, executive vice president and head of International Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, drives the global business strategy of the organization. He leads the largest international affairs team of any U.S. business association, representing the Chamber and its members before foreign governments, the U.S. government, and international business organizations.
In 2009, Brilliant assumed leadership of the Chamber’s International Affairs Division and greatly expanded the organization’s global footprint. He leads the Chamber’s ongoing work on trade matters including the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, and U.S.-China relations. His responsibilities also extend to 12 Chamber hosted business councils that work to enhance trade and investment ties to Brazil, Egypt, Japan, Korea, South Africa, and Cuba, among other nations.
Brilliant has pioneered new Chamber business initiatives focused on key markets, such as the regional Middle East Initiative, the U.S.-Mexico Leadership Initiative, the U.S.-China Track II dialogue, and the newly created Africa Business Center. He is frequently quoted in the media on a broad range of issues relating to international business and trade policy, and he is a regular guest on CNBC, CNN, and other news programs.
Previously, Brilliant was the Chamber’s vice president for Asia, where he significantly expanded the reach and impact of the Chamber’s Asia program. Before joining the Chamber in 1994, Brilliant was an attorney with Stewart and Stewart in Washington, D.C.
