State Rep. Spencer Frye, D-Athens, will be one of 13 members of a legislative study committee looking at ways “to encourage and promote the continued growth and success of the music industry in this state,” according to the Georgia General Assembly resolution creating the panel.
Another Athens legislator, Republican state Sen. Bill Cowsert, the majority leader in the Senate, was among the sponsors of Senate Resolution 1027, which created the Joint Music Economic Development Study Committee.
