Georgia is once again among the best in Chief Executive magazine’s annual list of the best states for business.
The Peach State dropped three spots to No. 8 on the “ 2016 Best & Worst States For Business” list, which is based on CEOs’ rankings for every state’s tax and regulatory regime, the quality of the workforce, and the quality of the living environment.
Here’s how Georgia scored:
-
No. 14 for taxation and regulation
-
No. 9 in workforce quality
-
No. 7 in living environment
Georgia is doing a good job of diversifying industries and its aggressive incentive program is working,” said Marshall Cooper, CEO of Chief Executive magazine. “Technology, entertainment, biotech and manufacturing are all growing in Georgia right now,” he said, “and the state should see strong benefits from their efforts in the years ahead.”
