Four Finalists Named for Dean of UGA School of Social Work

Four finalists for the position of dean of the University of Georgia School of Social Work will visit campus in the coming weeks to meet with members of the university community.
A committee chaired by Linda Kirk Fox, dean of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, conducted a national search to identify the finalists. The committee was assisted by the UGA Search Group in Human Resources.
Each finalist will make a public presentation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 480 of the Tate Student Center. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:
-Wesley Church, J. Franklin Bayhi Endowed Professor and director of the Louisiana State University School of Social Work, Feb. 8.
-Michael Fendrich, professor and associate dean for research at the University of Connecticut School of Social Work, Feb. 15.
-Judy Postmus, associate professor of social work and director of the Center on Violence Against Women and Children at Rutgers University, Feb.18.
-Anna Scheyett, professor and dean of the University of South Carolina College of Social Work, Feb. 22.
