Athens Mayor, Commission get Recommendations on Federal Grant Allocation

Twenty-two of the nearly three dozen proposals seeking a share of the $1.5 million available to Athens-Clarke County through the federal Community Development Block Grant program are being recommended for funding in the upcoming fiscal year, according to a report presented to the mayor and commission at their non-voting work session last week.
