UGA Welcomes about 1,000 Transfer Students to Campus

Red mesh bags and name badges dotted the walkway between the Zell B. Miller Learning Center and Bolton Dining Commons as slightly fewer than 1,000 students transferring to the University of Georgia explored the campus that will become their home this spring semester of 2016. 

“There are some students who, for any number of reasons, cannot attend UGA directly from high school,” said Charles Carabello, associate director for admissions and enrollment management. “Transferring provides that opportunity.”
