Hajra Hasan, D.O., has joined St. Mary's Medical Group, Inc., and will be providing primary care services to patients age 5 and above at Johnson and Murthy Family Practice in Athens and Middle Georgia Medical Associates in Greensboro.

Dr. Hasan provides comprehensive outpatient primary and preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment, including management of both acute and chronic medical problems. She has special interest in women's health and adolescent care.

Dr. Hasan comes to St. Mary's Medical Group from Augusta, where she has practiced family and emergency medicine in several settings, including Riverwood Primary Care, Mednow Urgent Care, and the Georgia Regents University Hospital Emergency Department.

A graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Ga., Dr. Hasan earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Ga., and completed her family medicine residency at Georgia Regents University in Augusta. She and her husband, John Edry, M.D., a neurologist with St. Mary's Neurological Specialists, have two children.
