Athens Begins Search for New Government Manager

Following the retirement announcement of Alan Reddish, who served for 15 years as Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Manager, the hunt for his successor has begun via an application online. The application will be open from Jan. 5 to Feb. 5. In the meantime, Athens-Clarke County mayor Nancy Denson has appointed an interim manager.
Reddish was appointed to the position by the mayor and commissioners in 2001, and was the county's longest-serving manager. He was re-appointed to the position in 2015 for another two-year term.
