Two Finalists Named for GRU/UGA Medical Partnership Dean

Two finalists for the position of campus dean of the Georgia Regents University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership will visit Athens and Augusta in December to meet with faculty, staff, students and community members.
A 15-member committee chaired by Houston Davis, University System of Georgia executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer, conducted a national search to identify the finalists.
Each finalist will make a public presentation at 5:30 p.m. in Room 228 of Russell Hall on the UGA Health Sciences Campus. The finalists and the dates of their presentations are:
-Angela Sharkey, associate dean for faculty affairs and professional development, and professor of pediatrics at St. Louis University School of Medicine, Dec. 1.
-Kenneth Simons, senior associate dean for graduate medical education and accreditation, and professor of ophthalmology and pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dec. 15.
