A consulting firm conducting a feasibility study of Athens Transit noted during a presentation on Tuesday that the agency appears to offer acceptable coverage of Athens-Clarke County.
The broad review noted that Athens Transit offers acceptable service in terms of providing routes that serve areas where people most likely to use buses — low-income residents, people with mobility issues or who don’t own cars — reside, and in providing routes that get people to workplaces and other locations to which they need to travel.
