Ask Tom Griffith, and he’ll tell you the past 50 years have not been about the potato wedges or the chicken, the Lottery tickets, the cold drinks, the candy bars, the gas or the convenience. It’s not even about those biscuits that have people standing in lines in Bishop, Butler’s Crossing and downtown Watkinsville every morning of the week.
For Tom Griffith, the founder of the Golden Pantry stores, the past 50 years have been about family.
