UGA Football vs. La. Monroe
Saturday, 12 p.m.

The Bulldogs will open the season  against Lousiana-Monroe! The entire town takes on a celebratory feel during Football Gamedays in Athens. Bring your family to Dawg Walk approximately two hours before each home game. Here, the Bulldogs are greeted and fired up by thousands of Georgia fans and the Redcoat Marching band as they unload on Lumpkin Street and walk through the Tate Center Parking lot and in to Sanford Stadium.

En Garde! Night at Terrapin
Saturday, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Come out and try out your skills with a sword at Terrapin on September 5, 2015, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. They will be demonstrating how Olympic-style fencing works and even give you chance to try it for yourself. For this event, they will give live demonstrations involving the electronic scoring system and a chance to fence with the newly designed plastic fencing gear widely used for demos!

Nature's Trading Post
Saturday, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The trading post is open! The community is invited to trade the one or two objects they have found in nature for points or other nature objects in the nature center's collection. This only happens on the first Saturday of each month until November so be sure to stop by!
