Local Resource for Athens Startups Recognized by Wells Fargo
Thursday, August 13th, 2015
Once a month, startup founders and small business owners in Athens gather at the Four Athens community meeting space to discuss business development and network over their lunch hour. The monthly Lunch & Learn events hosted by Four Athens bring experts in the field to present on a legal, financial, or management topic of unique import to startups and small businesses, and provide lunch for attendees. Topics such as state laws on crowdfunding, Georgia tax credits for angel investors, and crafting solid equity incentives for new business staff, address the specific interests of the startup and small business community in Athens, who are using innovative models to establish and grow business ventures with an eye to the future.
With a new sponsorship by Wells Fargo, Four Athens is poised to improve upon the popular Lunch & Learn events to provide greater reach across the Athens business community. Support from the well-known financial institution will be used to update A/V equipment and expand marketing and outreach efforts to increase the business development impact of these events.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to generate new interest and continue to meet the needs of the Athens business community with quality expertise and resources,” said Four Athens Executive Director Jim Flannery. “With this new support we have greater capacity to connect more local business owners and startup founders to the expert information and support they need to be successful.”
