Athens-Clarke County's New Police Chief Sworn In

Athens-Clarke County’s new police chief was sworn in Tuesday evening, as some of his old colleagues at the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office and some of the officers in his new department stood by in the Athens-Clarke County Commission chambers in City Hall.
“I’m extremely excited to be here,” Chief Scott Freeman, formerly Rockdale County’s chief deputy, told Athens-Clarke’s mayor and commission as he addressed the packed City Hall chambers.
