Friday Night Paddles at Sandy Creek Park
Friday, 8:30 p.m.

Experience the moon on Lake Chapman and paddle around the lake during this evening program. Participants can use one of the park's canoes or kayaks, or bring their own.
This program is scheduled for two Fridays every month for ages 12 and older.The fee is $8 for ACC residents and $12 for non-county residents.

Beat the Drum: A Tribute to Carl Lindberg
Saturday, 9 a.m.

Join friends and come "Beat the Drum" with Dr. Alvin Scott for a tribute to Athens musician Carl Lindberg, who recently died. Participants are encouraged to bring percussion instrument to play and a donation, as the event will benefit Nuci's Space in Lindberg's memory.

Ona with Tim Lancaster
Saturday, 10 p.m.

Ona, an indie rock band from Huntington, West Virginia will perform live at The World Famous. Opening for the band will be folk singer Tim Lancaster from Orlando, Florida. Ona's debut album, 'American Fiction,' is to be released late summer 2015.
