Athens First Bank & Trust, a division of Synovus Bank, recently named Mike Malcom its new vice president of Commercial Banking.

Malcom will be responsible for growing the division’s commercial banking portfolio while providing Athens First Bank & Trust’s high standard of customer service.

“We are thrilled to have Mike join our team of commercial experts. Through his 29-year banking career he has spent over half of his time with Athens First and we are delighted to have him back home,” said Bill Douglas, chairman and CEO of Athens First Bank & Trust.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Malcom serves on the Athens Y Camp Board of Directors and is an Endowment Trustee for the Friends of the State Botanical Garden of Georgia.
