The St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation announced today that the 2016 Heart and Soul Hospital Gala will be held at the newly renovated ballroom of the Ritz Carlton Lodge on Feb. 13, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. 

“This is the biggest fundraising event for the hospital,” said Rick Wolfert, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Chairman. “The inaugural gala held in 2014 was a huge success and raised substantial money for the hospital’s capital campaign.”

The inaugural event was attended by more than 400 people who enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions.

“It was a fun evening and an exciting time for our community members, who came together to support our hospital,” said Riezl Baker, Foundation board member and chair of the 2016 event.  “We have a great group of committee members already at work to deliver the same quality event, and our goal is to exceed the proceeds we made in 2014.” 

Today’s announcement followed the success of the recently held Heart and Soul Fashion Show, which raised over $30,000 for the facility.

“It’s great to see the momentum, plus the impact that the hospital is making in a lot of people’s lives,” commented Wolfert.
