Jay Staines, president and CEO of First Madison Bank & Trust, recently announced the addition of two seasoned Commercial Loan Officers to their staff ‑ Jeff Bankston and Wayne Garrison recently were hired as vice presidents of Commercial Lending at the main office in Athens. 

Bankston has been a resident of Athens for the past 28 years. He has over 29 years of banking experience and is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in economics. Bankston is involved with The Rotary Club of Athens, Athens YMCA Board, Athens YMCA Facility Committee Chair, Athens YMCA Executive Committee, member of Athens First United Methodist Church, Touchdown Club of Athens, Athens Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club of Athens, United Way and Boy Scouts Annual Drive.

Garrison is a Jefferson native and current resident of Jefferson, along with his wife of 28 years, Sheree. He has 30 years of banking experience. Garrison holds a BBA degree in marketing from the University of West Georgia. He is a member of Jefferson Lions Club and Galilee Christian Church in Jefferson.
