Herschel's Kitchen Closes

After it opened in 2013 and was rebranded in 2014, Herschel’s 34 Chicken and Ribs Kitchen, the restaurant named after former University of Georgia football star Herschel Walker in downtown Athens, closed its doors for good this month.
The restaurant was renamed and unveiled new menus in January 2014, about the same time as its one-year anniversary.
