On Oct. 11, 2014, more than 150 delegates from the University of Georgia and the surrounding community will gather for the second annual Georgia Youth to Business Forum to discuss and prepare for the future of the workforce.
Hosted by AIESEC UGA, the free, daylong event will explore topics such as globalization, technology, and the continued impact that millennials are having on the corporate world through panel discussions, workshops and key speakers.
In addition to answering the question of what the future of the workforce will look like, delegates will also have the opportunity to ask important questions of their own in a networking event with company representatives from the Metro-Atlanta area. At the 2013 Y2B, under a social entrepreneurship theme, featured speakers such as Chris Hanks, the director of entrepreneurship at the Terry College of Business; and Alex and Jonathan Torrey, the co-founders of the social enterprise Umano.
“Y2B helped me to start thinking creatively about my future,” said Misty Lopez, a fourth year UGA student who attended the 2013 forum. “The speakers last year gave excellent insight; I even got to chat with a few people afterward, which was access that I otherwise wouldn’t have had.”
The forum will be held in Tate Grand Hall on the UGA campus from 10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Delegate applications are still being accepted and can be completed online at: www.georgiay2b.com
