Construction of a Hyatt hotel at the Classic Center is planned to begin in December, marking further growth in Athens’ flourishing hospitality industry, Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau Director Chuck Jones told a roomful of visitors from Chapel Hill and Carrboro, N.C., on Monday.
