Georgia Options Hires New Director of Operations

Georgia Options, an Athens-based nonprofit organization that serves developmentally disabled adults, recently appointed Brittany White as its new Director of Operations. In this role, White will be responsible for the organization’s day to day operations. White will provide leadership and oversight, handle outcomes for people served, guide new person development and family relations, and supervise personnel administration, behavior support, incident reporting, site visit reviews, billing, and documentation.
White completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Brenau University, where she obtained a B.S. in Health Science with a Minor in Psychology and a M.S. in Applied Gerontology. At Brenau University, she participated in Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Phi Omega, Psychology Club, Mu Sigma Chi, and the Phi Mu Sorority - Mu Chapter. White will attend the University of Georgia in Fall of 2014 to receive a second Master’s Degree in Social Work. On numerous occasions, White has volunteered with the Children’s Miracle Network. In all of her endeavors, White strives to “lend those less fortunate a helping hand.”
White currently resides with her husband in Oxford, Georgia. She would like to thank her husband, Shane White, and her mother and father, Michelle and Chad Howington, for all of their support. Staff at Georgia Options are excited to welcome White to the organization and look forward to moving forward with her assistance.
