The Georgia Department of Labor and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will co-sponsor the 4th Annual Veterans Career Expo Thursday, May 22, in Athens. The expo, which is open to veterans and other job seekers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the VFW Post No. 2872 at 835 Sunset Drive.

The expo will feature more than 70 employers that will be hiring or discussing future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants must bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available jobs. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
