UGA Graduate Student Wins Singularity University Scholarship for Healthy Business Idea

University of Georgia master’s student Marshall Mosher is no stranger to adventure. Mosher is the co-founder of Vestigo, an online service that connects people who are curious about the outdoors with experienced enthusiasts who can show them the way. His business idea recently won him a $30,000 scholarship to an intensive 10-week graduate studies program at Singularity University, a Silicon Valley ideas incubator that seeks to solve the world’s most pressing challenges using advanced technologies.

Georgia’s Unemployment Rate Up Slightly to 6.3% in May

Georgia Nets Low Rates, Earns Top Marks for Bonds

Nathan Deal announced that Georgia has maintained its AAA bond rating and sold $1.28 billion in three different series of general obligation bonds to fund capital projects throughout the state, which range from construction on new university buildings to repairs on state bridges. A portion of these sales will also refund outstanding bonds to achieve savings.
