BankSouth recently contributed $100,000 to St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital through the Georgia HEART Rural Hospital Tax Credit Program. The contribution will help support the hospital's continued delivery of high-quality healthcare and strengthen access to essential services for the local community.
“BankSouth’s generous contribution will help St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital maintain and enhance the high-level care we provide to patients in our community. We are thankful for their investment in the hospital and the people we serve,” said Stonish Pierce, President and CEO of Trinity Health Georgia, which includes St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.
BankSouth's contribution will support the hospital's ongoing growth and delivery of high-quality care while addressing priority needs that help strengthen healthcare services for the local community. Previous contributions have helped the hospital expand access to important services, including telemedicine, which allows more patients to receive care locally.
"Supporting the health and well-being of our local communities is an important part of BankSouth's mission," said Harold Reynolds, CEO of BankSouth. "We're proud to invest in St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital and the important work they do to ensure families have access to quality healthcare close to home."
The Georgia HEART Rural Hospital Tax Credit Program allows eligible Georgia taxpayers to receive a state income tax credit for contributions to qualified rural hospitals, subject to applicable limits. For additional information, visit www.georgiaheart.org.
