The Georgia Chamber of Commerce announced the launch of the Georgia Digital Infrastructure Alliance, a new initiative designed to bring together business leaders, infrastructure providers, utilities, community stakeholders, and key industries to support Georgia’s continued leadership in the rapidly growing digital economy.

As demand for data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and connectivity continues to accelerate, digital infrastructure is becoming increasingly important to nearly every sector of Georgia’s economy — from healthcare and agribusiness to manufacturing, logistics, education, construction, and financial services.

The Georgia Digital Infrastructure Alliance will serve as a collaborative platform focused on responsible growth, infrastructure readiness, workforce development, community engagement, and long-term economic competitiveness. The initiative is intended to complement and work alongside existing industry organizations and local stakeholders already contributing to Georgia’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.

In conjunction with the Alliance launch, the Georgia Chamber also announced the creation of the Data Center Ready Community Designation, a new initiative aimed at helping Georgia communities proactively prepare for responsible digital infrastructure investment through planning, infrastructure coordination, and community readiness efforts.

The Alliance will focus on key issues including infrastructure planning, energy coordination, workforce and talent development, community engagement, sustainability best practices, and public education surrounding the role digital infrastructure plays in Georgia’s economy and daily life.
