Trilogy Investment Co. Breaks Ground on Postero: 184 Lots in Athens
Thursday, October 3rd, 2024
Trilogy Investment Co. (TIC), a vertically integrated residential investment and development company specializing in build-to-rent (BTR) and land development, officially broke ground on Postero in Athens, Georgia (Clarke County) on September 1, 2024. The 84.2-acre project will include 184 home sites when completed. Located off Highway 129, minutes from the Athens Highway Loop (SR 10 Loop), the community offers excellent access to all of Athens.
Upon completion of horizontal development, TIC will deliver lots to Lennar, one of the nation’s leading home builders, and home construction will commence. It is anticipated that the project will be completed in March 2027.
“This is one of several projects where TIC has pivoted from build-to-rent to for-sale. Partners like Lennar allow us to remain nimble and make decisions that offer our investors the best return while continuing to build attainable housing,” said Jason Joseph, CEO and Managing Partner of TIC.
The development of Postero by TIC aligns with the City of Athens's rapid expansion and ongoing infrastructure improvements. The community’s strategic location – just minutes from essential amenities and vibrant areas such as Normaltown and Downtown Athens – makes it an ideal location for new residents seeking proximity to the University of Georgia and the city’s growing healthcare sector.
“Athens is in the midst of a transformation, and we are excited to be part of that growth,” remarked Joseph. “Postero will bring 184 single-family homes to an area experiencing significant demand.”
The timing of this project coincides with several growth initiatives in Athens, including the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Athens and the introduction of new commercial and retail spaces, including new shops, restaurants, and cafes. New businesses and renovations in the Normaltown area with enhanced retail and dining options. University of Georgia (UGA) Projects include the UGA Health Sciences Campus, a significant development that will expand UGA’s research and education facilities in health sciences. This new campus will have research labs, classrooms, and clinical facilities. The Science Learning Center: A significant new building designed to enhance STEM education with advanced laboratories and interactive learning spaces. Expanding the Athens-Clarke County Greenway will provide more recreational trails and green spaces throughout the city.
Postero is just 10 minutes from the University of Georgia and Downtown Athens. Athens Medical Park is directly outside the community, and Athens Country Club is adjacent to the neighborhood. Normaltown has many restaurants and nightlife, and the UGA Health Sciences Campus is just 5 minutes away.
