The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is set to host its annual State of the Community event on Thursday, September 12 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Columbia County Exhibition Center in Grovetown, Georgia. The event gives chamber members, business leaders, and the general public an opportunity to gain insights about the region directly from a panel of local community leaders. Topics of discussion include advancements in transportation, cyber growth, developments at Fort Eisenhower, and other initiatives within Columbia County and the cities of Grovetown and Harlem.

“The State of the Community is a unique and informative event that goes beyond the absorption of updates and data,” said Russell Lahodny, President and CEO of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. “It’s designed to foster a collaborative and proactive partnership among the leaders, business owners, and citizens that are vital in shaping the overall vision for our community’s future.”

Speakers for the event include Fort Eisenhower Garrison Commander Col. Anthony Kazor, Columbia County School District Superintendent Dr. Steven Flynt, City of Harlem Manager Debra Moore, Grovetown City Administrator Elaine Matthews, and Columbia County Manager Scott Johnson.
