Smith, Adcock and Company, LLP one of Athens leading accounting firms, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeremy Burch to the position of partner effective January 1, 2024
Burch, a native of Newton, GA, joined Smith, Adcock and Company in 2019, and his excellent work led to his rapid rise at the firm. Within three years of joining the company, Burch earned a promotion to manager, and his promotion to partner follows less than two years after that.
His work is characterized by intelligence, responsiveness and caring. Current partner Rodney Chandler praises Burch’s performance and commitment to his large client base as well as his contribution to firm culture.
“Jeremy earned the respect, trust and friendship of the entire Athens office by helping, teaching, mentoring and caring,” Chandler said.
Burch’s experience in the profession is extensive, with a 2011 graduation from the University of Georgia, where he earned bachelor’s in family financial planning. Following his undergraduate studies, Burch received an MBA and Master of Accountancy from Mercer University. He began his career in public accounting in 2013 with the Trinity Accounting Group, another Athens-area firm, before joining Smith Adcock.
Burch’s outstanding contributions and commitment to the profession extend beyond serving his own clients, as he is an active member in the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Recently, the AICPA honored Burch by selecting him as one of 36 CPAs nationwide to attend the AICPA Leadership Academy, a four-day program for emerging leaders in the profession.
Smith, Adcock and Company is a leading CPA firm with locations in Athens and Atlanta and is known for its excellence in professional expertise and client experience. The addition of Burch as a partner strengthens their leadership team and enhances their ability to meet the evolving needs of their clients.
Smith, Adcock and Company congratulates Jeremy Burch on his well-deserved promotion.
