Stratus Development Group opened the doors last weekend to their newest student housing development, The Haven of Athens. With 286 bedrooms available across 93 cottages, The Haven of Athens provides students with amenitized luxury living only a mile from the University of Georgia’s campus.

Despite facing challenges with remote leasing spurred by COVID-19, the Haven pre-leased 100% of its units prior to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. Additionally, the development team was able to negotiate supply chain disruptions brought on by the pandemic and still deliver the project on-time.

“In order to adapt to the unique challenges presented by COVID-19, we relied heavily on virtual tours and shifted to 100% online leasing,” says Stratus Development Group managing partner Jeff Koon, “Adapting our strategy to overcome the challenges of a pandemic was key.”

The Haven offers 2-6 bedroom options complete with modern devices such as USB outlets, built-in Bluetooth speakers, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and additional half baths. Community perks include a resort-style pool, 24-hour clubhouse with study rooms and fully equipped fitness studio, “bark park” with a dog washing station, nature trails and more. It is the first amenitized cottage style development to be built in Athens in a decade.

Stratus Development Group is currently seeking additional development and value-add student housing opportunities throughout the Southeast. For more information on Stratus Development Group and their services, visit their website at www.stratusdevelopmentgroup.com/, or email [email protected].
