Athens Businesses Partner to Promote Downtown Tech Crawl November 1st

Staff Report From Athens CEO

Friday, October 27th, 2017

On November 1st, four top technology-based businesses in downtown Athens will showcase their offices and play hosts to students and young professionals as part of the inaugural Downtown Tech Crawl. The event, which is the first of its kind ever organized in Athens, is the result of a partnership between Roundsphere, HW Creative Marketing, Docebo and Partner Software.

Participants will register and begin at one office location at 5 p.m. before progressively migrating to the other three offices throughout the evening. Each office will be giving tours, networking, and providing local food. The night will conclude with a happy hour at Clarke’s Standard, beginning around 8:15 p.m.

Each of the hosting businesses are located in unique office spaces and represent the emerging technology sector in Athens. Roundsphere, located in the old Athens-Banner Herald building, is an investment and incubation company that provides resources to turn great ideas into sustainable businesses. HW Creative Marketing, which is located in a 115-year-old space that still features the bar and booths of its past life as a restaurant, is a creative marketing agency dedicated to creating web and inbound marketing solutions. Docebo, which won a 2016 preservation award for its investment in its current office space, is one of the world's fastest growing SaaS companies in the Learning Technology space. Partner Software develops software for the utility industry and is located on top of the Washington Street parking deck.

The event is the perfect opportunity for attendees to learn about career opportunities in growing industries and get a behind-the-scenes look at how they operate. The event is free and open to the public, but those wishing to attend must RSVP online by Monday, October 30 at downtowntechcrawl.com.
