“We continue to see steady, strong demand for high-quality housing options at Tier 1 public universities,” Landmark Properties President and CEO Wes Rogers said. “Students and their parents are searching for a home away from home that’s close to campus with comfortable and secure living spaces, high-quality amenities and advanced technology.”

The 2017 deliveries and starts comprise the largest development pipeline in Landmark’s 13-year history, primarily featuring urban infill mixed-use projects located within close proximity to campus, entertainment and downtown restaurants and businesses.

The significant volume of deliveries not only tops Landmark’s own company record — it leads the entire student housing industry over the past year. In addition to Student Housing Business naming Landmark the nation’s top student housing contractor, the company has also been featured in SHB Magazine as the most active student housing developer for two of the past three years, as well as the largest off-campus developer since the publication began its developer rankings.

“It’s been a groundbreaking year for us as we delivered seven properties and nearly 5,000 new beds. We’ve welcomed thousands of students to their new homes, and we’re excited about continuing our work on several other developments across the country,” Rogers said.

“As we deliver these projects, kickoff new ones and plan for the future, the team at Landmark Properties remains focused on providing the best student housing experience in every market we serve.”

Landmark Properties currently owns and manages more than 23,000 student housing beds across the country.
