As many as 200 people could be hired for seasonal jobs by about 20 employers during a special recruitment on Friday, Nov. 20, in Athens.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Athens Career Center will host the recruitment to help employers fill temporary jobs during the holiday season. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the career center located at 150 Evelyn C. Neely Dr.

Applicants are encouraged to dress in business casual attire, bring their resumes or portfolios, and valid driver’s licenses, along with pens or pencils and paper.  Veterans should bring their Department of Defense Form 214, applicants less than 18 years old must have a work permit and immigrants must have a green card.

Employers who have already registered for the recruitment are burton+Burton, Classic City Installations, Dial America, Dollar General Market, Domino Pizza, Homegoods Distribution Center, Integrity Foods, McDonald’s, Olympic Steel, Rowland Transportation, Southern Management/ABM, Target, The Home Depot and Uber Technologies.
