LAD Truck Lines Launches Records Management Division

Staff Report From Athens CEO

Thursday, May 7th, 2015

LAD Truck Lines has formally launched a new division called LAD Records Management to help corporations, governments and not-for-profits store, manage and securely dispose of their documents.

“At LAD, we have deep experience in transportation, logistics, and storage, and helping our existing customers and new clients take care of their records and sensitive materials is a natural extension of our business,” said General Manager Dutch Guest.  “By taking the burden of managing paper records off our customers, we can help them be more productive and profitable.”

LAD Records Management is headquartered in Watkinsville, but serves clients across the region.  Guest leads the new division, which utilizes O’Neil Software to manage and track the records it stores.

LAD Records Management focuses on two key aspects of records management.  For document storage, LAD indexes and stores records for clients and is available 365 days a year to provide scanned or hard copies of documents.  For document destruction, LAD assists companies seeking to protect information by ensuring it is shredded and recycled when no longer needed.  The company provides secure storage bins for its clients, manages the off-site shredding process, and provides certificates of destruction when shredding is completed.

“At LAD, we’re always thinking of new ways to serve our customers and communities, and this is another way we can do so,” said LAD Founder and President Mack Guest.  “Securing key information is more important than ever, and we’re happy to help local organizations however we can.”

LAD Records Management is one of the company’s four divisions; the others are LAD Truck Lines, LAD Logistics and LAD Warehousing & Distribution.
