Oconee State Bank Announces Promotions

Oconee State Bank today announced the promotions of Michael Thigpen to Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial Banking and Andy Flowers to Senior Vice President, Director of Deposits and Retail Banking.
Mr. Thigpen joined Oconee State Bank in 2024, most recently holding the role of Senior Vice President, Regional President of Southeast Georgia. “With 21 years of leadership experience and extensive knowledge in commercial banking, along with his track record as a top producer, Michael will be a valuable asset as he leads our markets in this new era of growth,” said Chief Banking Officer, Philip Bernardi.
Andy Flowers joined Oconee State Bank in 2025, most recently holding the role of Senior Vice President, Community President of Middle Georgia. Mr. Bernardi commented, “with 37 years’ experience, Andy’s deep industry knowledge and visionary approach will continue to elevate the Bank’s deposit growth initiatives and retail banking division, ensuring top-tier service and innovation.”
