BOE Holds Budget Workshop And Regular Session

The Oconee County Board of Education held a special session on Monday prior to its regular session. The special session served as a budget workshop to review expenditures for the FY25 budget. To see Monday's presentation, please click here.
 
During the regular session, the Board approved:

• Matt Stephens as the next Principal of Oconee County High School.

• Peter Adams as the new Chief Financial Officer for Oconee County Schools.

• The Benchmark Workshop, the 6-12 Social Studies and Science Curriculum, and the OCS Strategic Plan: Goal Areas, Performance Objectives, and Strategy Map.


The Board recognized students from North Oconee High and Malcom Bridge Middle for their accomplishments in All-State Chorus, All-State Band, the FFA state competition, the Georgia Student Technology Competition, HOSA, and Class 4A basketball.


The Board awarded 25- and 30-year service pins to 10 employees.


The Board heard presentations from Business Services and Technology.
