Dr. Crystal Bright Joining Sacred Heart Primary Care

Dr. Crystal Bright, a resident of Clarkesville currently practicing as a family medicine staff physician in Berkeley Lake, Georgia, is joining Sacred Heart Primary Care effective May 1.

Dr. Bright is a board-certified family medicine doctor with more than 15 years of primary care experience. She is passionate about providing quality care to patients of all ages. She especially enjoys following her patients throughout their medical journey and all phases of life. She will be joining Amy Evans, certified nurse practitioner, and Cassie Dawkins, nurse practitioner.

Dr. Bright received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Savannah State University. She graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., completed a one-year general surgery externship at the Medical College of South Carolina in Charleston, then went to Duke University in Fayetteville, N.C., to complete an externship and residency in family medicine. In addition, she completed a one-year fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Meharry Medical College. 

Her professional experience includes practicing as a staff physician at clinics or hospitals in Swainsboro, Jesup, Baxley, Calhoun, and Demorest, Georgia, as well as Fairbluff, N.C. Since 2018, she has also practiced part-time with DaneStreet Disability Co., in Boston, Mass. During her medical residency, she was heavily involved in men’s and women’s sports medicine, including basketball, baseball, football, soccer, softball and volleyball.

In her free time, Dr. Bright enjoys spending time with her family and friends. As a descendant of a long line of educators, she loves educating patients, especially how and why to take medications properly and safely.
