Athens Academy Students Named to State All Star Cast

Athens Academy is pleased to announce that juniors Courtney Coffeen and Elizabeth Raeber were named to the All Star Cast of the Georgia High School Association’s 2A State One Act Play competition. The competition was held this past Saturday, November 12, at Warner Robins High School in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Athens Academy’s one act play Little Letters, qualified for the state competition after placing first in Region 8AA at the GHSA One Act Play Competition on Wednesday, October 26. In addition, Courtney Coffeen was named "Best Supporting Actress" and Elizabeth Raeber and Wade Slatcher were named to the All Star Cast.

The play, an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, was written by director and Upper School Drama Chair Lorraine Thompson.
