Athens Academy Wins One-Act Play Competition

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Athens Academy's one-act play Little Letters, which placed first in Region 8AA at the GHSA One Act Play Competition on Wednesday, October 26. The competition was held at Union County High School in Blairsville, Georgia.
 
Sophomore Courtney Coffeen was named "Best Supporting Actress" and sophomores Elizabeth Raeber and Wade Slatcher were named to the All Star Cast.

The company will continue on to the state-level competition in mid-November. The play, an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, was written by director Lorraine Thompson, who is the chair of Athens Academy's Drama Department.
