Manager Blaine Williams has named Patrice Nyatuame as Organizational Development Administrator for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government (ACCGov). She will begin on June 7, 2021.
Nyatuame has over 18 years of experience in educational environments and most recently served as the Senior Talent Development Specialist with the Fulton County Government Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Court.
Prior to her time with Fulton County, Nyatuame worked for Savannah State University as a Training Director and Learning Management System Administrator and the Kentucky Department of Education as an Education Administrative Program Consultant.
“Our employees are the lifeblood of ACCGov and deserve a wealth of opportunities to reach their full potential,” says Williams. “Patrice brings with her not only an extensive background in adult education, but also a passion for technology and helping employees achieve their goals to better serve the community.”
In her most recent role, Nyatuame was responsible for developing employee training programs, assisting departments with strategic and long-term planning, and designing succession planning policies. She also provided technical leadership for systems for learning management, knowledge base management, and service desk learning.
“I am so excited to be joining the ACCGov family,” says Nyatuame. “My vision is to facilitate leadership training that will help employees build the capacity to shift from transactional to transformative team-building mentors. Through practical training, I believe that everyone can become visionaries, highly competent, excellent communicators, innovative, decisive, and fair team players.”
Nyatuame holds a Doctor of Education Technology Leadership from Morehead State University, a Master of Adult Education and Community Leadership from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and a Bachelor of Science in English Literature from Jackson State University. Nyatuame has also earned professional certifications in education technology, online teaching, and strategic workforce development.
The Organizational Development Administrator position was formerly held by Catherine Bennett, who retired from ACCGov in fall 2020.
