Friday, November 22nd, 2019

St. Mary’s Auxiliary will hold its 21st Annual Love Lights Tree lighting program on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 3 p.m. The event will be held in the Atrium Lobby of St. Mary's Health Care System, 1230 Baxter St., Athens. Everyone is welcome.

This year’s featured presenters will be the St. Joseph Catholic Parish School Children's Choir and the Arioso Chorale. The event also will feature a guest appearance by Santa, who will be available for photos after the ceremony. Light refreshments will be served, and parking will be free for guests.

"Our Love Lights Tree is a beautiful way to start the holiday season while helping to advance St. Mary's Mission to be a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our community," said Love Lights chairperson, Judy Hubrich. "Over the years, we have raised tens of thousands of dollars in support of St. Mary's mission and services, and donors have honored or remembered thousands of people in our community. When people give to Love Lights, they really make a difference."

Gifts can be made in remembrance or in honor of family and friends; to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, or special occasions, and for special acknowledgment of a person or association. Donation levels start at $20 and can be made any time of year by calling St. Mary’s Foundation at 706.389.3927 or online at stmarysathens.org.
